The NISE Network runs a series of free online workshops to increase the number of professional development opportunities available to our partners, and create more channels for partners to share their work and learn from each other directly.
*This online workshop has been postponed until early 2019. We will update this page once a new date has been confirmed*
Using the GLOBE Observer App: Your Visitors Contributing Local Environmental Observations to NASA's Satellite Missions
Postponed to early 2019
11am - 12pm Pacific / 2pm - 3pm Eastern
Through the GLOBE Observer, anyone can join the international GLOBE network of citizen scientists, students, teachers, and scientists while learning more about our shared environment. Learn about how your visitors can participate by downloading the GLOBE Observer app (on iPhone or Android) and exploring the three exciting in-app observation tools: clouds, mosquito habitat mapper, and land cover. Leaders from GLOBE Observer and the NASA Earth Science Education Collaborative will present tips and strategies on using the app with visitors, while NISE Network staff will share activities from the Explore Science: Earth and Space toolkits thematically connected with each observation tool. Come learn about this popular and easy opportunity to let your visitors become part of the NASA scientific community!
